FISHING REPORTS

Only plugs and metal. No steve hasn't been good in the bay lately. Have to move around to find them. I'll let you know when they set up in the usual place.

The wife and I took a trip to IBSP last night for the incoming tide.
It was the first trip of the year. I'm out of commission, so it was all her. I was there to drive and bait the hook.
Had a couple blues on bunker and she landed for first striper. 31in 10lb on a clam right at dusk. She did a hell of a job on light tackle.
Saw a couple other blues taken from out front and from the inlet.
Great first trip of 2010.

hang in there chris take it slow ull be fishing in no time.....congrats to the mrs......great job....

got to the beach, and saw fish tailing like bones in the bahamas....thought they were just bunker at first, but sent a fly their way anyway...ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz!!! fly barely hit the water and over went the 9wt....biggest blue on the fly, MY OWN TIE!! must have had about 15 more after, all 10-12lb range...arm is worn out!








felt good to get the post-finals skunk off!

very cool catching on your own tie..... way to go...

great job nice catching on your own stuff....keep up the good work...we want to see the bass on your fly ....

That one weighed 28 lbs. Let a few larger go. On the jetty, on my own pencil(like it mattered)

nice job buddy i was stuck at work today so gave tech alil info and it paid off...i went back after tech had left and caught 5 keeping 2 that were 25bs each on my own pencils!!!!!!!!! these were the first bass i caught on one of my plugs i was amped up big time wat a great day..

great job guys! looks like a nice wave of bass moving through!

Olny one sm blue today. Waves were BIG, hard to hold bottom. Did'nt see any bass caught?

well jeff its not a skunk day at least ....man must have been hot on the beach....

Went out yesterday morning. Started out on bunker in Spring Lake. Schools were sporadic and there was nothing under them so we switched to fluking and ran out to the Sea Girt reef. We drifted for around two hours. I caught a 4 lber and my brother had one at 18 inches. Had to leave them biting as my crew needed to be back in the shed by 11:00.

kev trip sounds like are last trip we did together....well glad u got into some fluke....better days ahead....

Things are heating up.
I was in the park from 5-11:30am today.
Non stop action with 1-3lb blues and shad.
Also at least a half dozen fluke, one of which was keeper size.
Got on bass and lost one. Saw two others taken from the same hole.
Action was mostly on metals/teasers. Anything skinny was catching, AVAs, T-Hex, teasers, sandeels, etc. The hits came as soon as it hit the water and they wanted it retreived very slow with an occasional twitch.
I stayed in the same 100yards all morning, but from what I've heard conditions were similar from the inlet north into seaside.

I was in the park tonight same thing very slow with a twitch and I got two schoolie bass. I am going out in the am again Bright and early if anybody wants to meet up.
