My Koi started moving around a little bit the other day before the cold snap..I was gonna try a few casts but there was a NO FISHING sign posted there. Looks like my wifes handwriting... :geek:

Word on the street is that there is nice bass being caught on the west side of Barnegat Bay bigger bass going for plugs and shorts on worms!!!

I was there last night, high water/incoming, no wind. Had one 22 incher on a 5" blue over chrome crystal minnow. Tried an assortment of swimmers, various colors and sizes with no other results to show for a 4 hours effort. Nothing at all visual on the surface, small bait was present, but not in large numbers. That was my first of the year ice breaker Very Happy

I was out on RB two weekends ago but more or less to give my gear a shakedown and teach the new GF how to cast. She done good too cheers

Im glad I did test the gear. I had a power pro problem. Every cast was a wind knot so I put a ball bearing swivel attached to a large 3 way and had the GF walk all of the line out. I reeled in and all is well in Power pro land again. I must have had a twist in my bulk spool. Its 1:30 am here and I am sitting in a diner thinking I might make a run down to SH and get my night pass once I get outta here. Im wired tonight
