I don't know Steve. After a great turn out on the volunteers not too many have followed through and some of the people I know that did finish haven't been seen here since the Skippy incident (Gimmpy, Bennyraw) so as far as I know there are only two entries (Frank and Scone). Bob (Blacklabel) said he was nearly done but that was weeks ago and I haven't heard anything from him.

As long as we get a decent turnout we'll continue the contest. I'll give everybody word on where to send them as soon I hear from a few more guys. Let's give it to the end of the month.

Anyone heard from JFP lately are he and Tech building something for this?

OK guys I am really disappointed that alot of guys who committed to this have not even responded to say they are out. I am going to call this over at the end of the month and I'll just have to judge from the two or three guys who actually took the time to build something. This could have been a great competition but everyone lamed out. You guys disappoint me. I committed to supply the prizes and I'm not backing out of that so if you built something PM me and I'll let you know where to send your entry. I am not keeping the plugs, after they are judged they will be auctioned off with half the proceeds going to the site and the other half to the winner along with the $50 DixieArt gift certificate.

I have Benny's and Gimmpy's entries. I need to get FJR's this week and I'm waiting for Scone's. That's it! It will be the best of 4. The testers will be myself, Stevel, JFP, and Smitty. The winner will get a $50 Dixie Art Gift Certificate and 1/2 the proceeds from the sale of the 4 plugs, the other half will go to the SBO support fund.


By the way.....really nice work by Benny and Gimmpy cant wait to see the other two.

OK guys just about ready to start the judging. I'm just waiting on Black Label's entry and I have to pick up FJRs. I have BennyRaw's, Gimmpy's and Scone's.

Nope not dead guys. I have been waiting for Bob (Black Label) he told me he had one almost ready. I PM'd him last week but havent gotten a response. If I dont hear from him by the end of this week we'll just start the judging. I haven't swam any of the entries yet due to the crappy weather on the weekends. I apologize for how long this has taken but rest assured it is not dead and you guys are in.

Oh yeah I have to run by Frank's house (FJR) and pick up his entry.

Just a note. When I was in RI fishing 2 guys there asked what was going on with this Challenge. They said they sent plugs in back in the summer and asked what ever happened to them.

Nothing has happened to them I need to get together with at least two other guys so we can fairly judge them. I had planned on SteveL but he's laid up now. Anyone care to meet one of these days?

Hey Kev, I'm thinking it's time to call this a wrap. It was a nice idea for a contest but the entrants weren't interested in entering and the judges don't seem interested in judging. Maybe it's time to just send our plugs back and say nice attempt.

Why dont you post them up here and let everyone judge them...!!!!!!
