last night i went out,, sorta like an opening day trout ritual thing,, it was cold,,though i was warm,, the water was ripping where i was,incoming,, the wind was kicking,,i made an attempt w/o any success,, not catching really didn't matter,,though would've been a bonus,, just knowing i can do it again tonite legally and as a sportsman is good enough for me,, looking forward to that first strike.

GLAD TOO SEE YOU WENT OUT LASTNIGHT,WAS HOPING YOU WOULD FIND 1 EVEN A SMALL ONE

they have been catching a few small ones in the river close to me!

technologist,,so you going out tonight? where i'm at the trick is really outgoing tide,, this time last year i already had a few,, even my buddy fishincrazy had a keeper... after work i'm going to bed for a 3:30 wake-up to try outgoing..I really need to make a hole in a fishes mouth!

been limping around since last week. feeling better now, I'll be out thursday and friday!

1last night on tapeworm and clam. Pic on the surf forum.

first keeper tonight. took a pink zoom. fish made about three runs and looked to be just under 30" on my rod. swam away healthy.

Great for the both of you,congrats,now send them east to LI..

Fishing the RB and had four good hits on the outgoing tide. Fishing hi-lo rigs with clam and sandworm. The fish are hitting very lightly.

One fish last night in Barnegat bay, 14". Hit a redheaded swimmer retrieved slowly.

schoolie followed a swimmer in to the beach then turned away...saw bait which is a good sign but the water temps where i was were a little cool..goin out tomorrow night for another shot..might try clams..i heard about some decent high-teens weighed in from the RB, so it seems like its time :lol:

fished rb tonight incoming 2 shorts. i think i have finally learned my lesson on not fishing two poles and keeping the pole in my hand i would have caught a least three more fish, had one that i missed that almost riped the pole out of the rod holder and a few others that just slammed it and let go. damn fish need to get better a hooking themselves. fish factor was there whats up man fun night out back.

Kicked it with Joe tonight and we caught!!!!! Put 12 bass between the 2 of us with 3 keepers !!The bigest was 36"!!!!!

Hey JJ you should have called back!!!!!

glad you got into the fish last night. rick and i practiced our craft for a couple of hours without signs of life. plugged, clammed, and tossed plastic. highlight of the night was rick sneaking up and scaring the @%#$ out of me in the deep fog. it was the kind of night when a lone pirate ship (without crew) :affraid: or zombies could have emerged.
