S.B.O fishing trip....

Hey fellas' heres the daily update.


5/30 Drum/Bass trip is FULL


5/31 Drum/Bass trip is 2 guys short, so if anyone wants to get out and dance with some big drum and bass and meet so fellow SBO members for a great time, let it be known!


7/12 Tuna trip is three guys short. We have two guys that are maybe's and I am awaiting info from them still before they are in the books for sure. So if anyone wants to do some monster bluefin, wahoo, mahi, and who knows, maybe even yellowfin fishing, post on up!

Also fluke season is fast approaching and there are some big fluke being caught in the bay as of now. If anyone would like to do a SBO fluke/weakfish trip or even another Drum/Bass trip, let it be known and we can try getting it together and setting up another date.



Remember fellas, these trips are SPECIAL cut rate trips for SBO, so you wont find deals like this anywhere else to go out and fish on a 42 foot Bertram!

I know you're pitching this as a Drum/Bass trip and i'm psyched for it but I was curious what the chances were we'd actually hit some bass that late there?

I'd say its a 50/50 shot. There are always some in the bay, you just gotta know where to look. The spring bass fishery isnt nearly as predictable as the fall fishery. For instance this year has been ok for the bass guys. Last years spring sucked big time (NOT ONE KEEPER BASS WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE MARINA IN THE SPRING). 3 years ago was the best we had seen in a decade. As of now, the bass are still north up the river spawning. A few have been picked in the upper portions of the bay and lower river... If they hangout out there and are still spawning for the next week or two, Id say we would have a good shot at getting some nice bass. It also depends on water temps. Right now they are cooler than usual, which is good, it will keep them here longer. Once it heats up good, they begin their travel out and north to maine.


So we gotta wait and see what happens. They could very well be here to the middle of June. We can fish for drum on one tide, then hunt on the slack and bass fish the other tide.... We have to see what the group wants to do!

Yeah, we always do fluke/drum trips.... bang up the drum on the incoming, and put dinner in the box on the outgoing...only a few miles from my fluking holes where we will be drumming and bassing...

I think fluke start memorial day weekend...Im not sure, I'll check.... but yes, we can do a lil bit of everything.

I think we will have good trips guys.... Hopefully we catch, but trying is half the fun, the other half is bullshitting with your buddies, catching is just the bonus!!!!!!

If we have any interest in maybe a fluke trip, let it be known... Im gona be out opening day finding the fish... we should have a fair amount of larger ones, as last years size limit was ridiculous. It opens the 23rd, if anyone is intererested in getting a trip together....let me know! We can always do a "oldgrounds" trip, but that would be a bit more expensive due to the looooonggggg run to get there. We do well with fluke in the bay, and do catch a lot of fish up to 5#'s and every now and again get close to the doormat size.... the bigger ones will be here early, so if your interested, hit me up!

As long as its nice out we can grill... If not, sandwiches are easy... Ill have a bunch of lunch meat and snacks on the boat already!

Also, we still need 2 guys for the july 12th tuna trip.... So post up fellas! Its looking to be a stellar tuna season.... Bluefin are being caught in the Baltimore/Wilmington region NOW.... and we have a eddy pushing SW from the Atlantis/hydrographers canyon region.... It shaping up to be a good year
