S.B.O would like to do our first fishing outing aboard our very own FISH & CHIP SPORT FISHING.
date not yet set till we see how much interest we have in it.

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
Guys, if we wanna do Tuna and we wanna make it a day troll/jigging sorta thing, I think Bluefin would be our best bet. Unfortunately the regs are set at one fish at 27" to 73" PER boat, BUT, we can keep our one trophy fish a year also, and this year, this should a very attainable goal, as these fish will most likely be in the 150-180 pound class and better. We have watched them grow from 1 year old 45 pound fish 5 seasons ago, to the 5 year old 125-150 pound class fish they were last year...
On this type of trip, we could very well encounter nice size wahoo and mahi-mahi...
Now the important question, and you guys will have to decide. Do we wanna go for a week day trip (IMHO, these are the best chances for nice fish as the weekend boat traffic keeps the tuna down) Or do we wanna do a weekend trip?
Most likely the first Bluefins will be arriving in mid June, but I would like to get out and prefish and get the mates warmed up, SO, the trip would most likely be in the first week or two of July, unless they are on fire in June (this depends solely on the fish, I wont take you guys out on an expensive boat ride!)
And if there is a lot of interest, we can possibly do multiple trips. So if one of the groups wants to do a overnighter for swords, yellowfin, and bigeye and possibly some marlin fishing in the morning if we got meat in the box, we can also do that...
So fellas, talk it out and let me know how you all feel

If there was enough interest for a inshore trip, say for the huge black drum that frequent my home waters of the delaware bay, or bass or fluke, we could also do those trips as well!

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
I'm in.....D-bay stripers and drum sounds good but....I love jigging fish and tuna would be the ultimate challenge. I will go on whatever trip ev eryone decides on maybe more than one. Fluking at the subway cars sounds good also....maybe some Cobia cruising around?

How about togging in the fall? I hear alot of good things about South Jersey Togging trips. I am assuming you are limited to 6 man charters, is that correct?

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
Sorry gents, I'm in the same boat (no pun intended) as smokinjoe. I'm dealing with a herniated disc in my low back which is really getting annoying. I'm missing out on all the cool stuff. But I guess better is a reasonable goal.
Let me know if you set up Family Fun Picinic Day or something like that. I would love to go and meet the members.

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
Yes, we can do some late season toggin and jumbo sea bass trips later in the fall and winter. We may even do a few tile/Sea bass trips... We have full heat and A/C and a big salon to get everyone out of the weather... There are plenty of sleeping quarters and a full galley and bathroom with a shower for the longer trips.
The toggin can be world class to say the least!
We can also put together some sorta dinner cruise if people are interested, maybe run across the bay or down to capemay for a lobster house trip (those are some of my favorites, I love eating some good food!)
Let me know what you guys and gals would like to do... As mentioned previously, if this peaks enough interest, we can do different types of trips to cater to everyone!

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
Hahaha, me too! I dont like going in the drink unless I HAVE to.... Seen a lot of big sharks out there that looked reaaaal hungry...
Smitty, it looks like we might have close to a full boat, but a for sure headcount would be good... Now you all need to decide on what you all wanna catch and when!

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
Here are some prices for the trips. Now fuel is the huge factor here, Im basing these prices on fuel being under 2.50 a gallon, if it goes over that, there may be a slight adjustment, but not much. I hope for everyones sake in general it doesnt go above that number.
For a day or overnight bass or drum trip we can do it for 100$ per person for a group of 6 people.
For a day tuna trip trolling/jigging (we also bring live and dead bait just in case) we are looking at 325$ a person for a group of 6
Fuel is the big cost, then the mate needs his cut, the boat wants it share, then my Pops (Boat owner) wants his share for letting me use his boat.
It leaves me enough money to buy a 12pack and fuel for the ride home. Which I am happy with, fishing is what I love, and I have no problem giving a good discount to my fellow S.B.O members
Just make sure the mate gets a nice tip, thats where the bulk of his money comes from.

Re: S.B.O fishing trip....
Sounds good tug, there should be room! Im still trying to get everyone to decide on a date and what type of fishing we are doing... My vote goes for tuna, I love tuna fishing, and I think there is a lot on here who havent bagged a tun'er, let alone the slob bluefin that have been making their appearence for the last few years!
