Awesome, well we are most of the way there.... We need two more for the Bass/drum trip and 4 more for the offshore trip!

I want in on 5/30 depending on what time the trip is running.

Lets hope we find some mahi in June.... sure would be awesome. How long is that tuna trip? I have never hooked into one before so I want to try that more then striper fishin but if money allows Ill be good for the striper trip too.

AK....tie your line to the back of your truck and have one of your friends drive it away.... .....that kind of what Tuna fight like... Its an experience you will never forget :king:

Ak, depending on the situation it could be from 12-1 am till 4-6pm....or if everyone wants to stay the night, it would be fine with me! We are real easy going and are there to put fish in the boat!


Oh, and if you never got one, your in for one hell of a trip if we can find the big ones.... We're talking, these fish take 200-300 yards of line in 20-30 seconds.... at 28#'s of drag.... :affraid:

Brian i would like to go out on the tuna trip ill shoot you the info in a bit.

Brian Im out for the striper trip but the tuna trip is a go for me.

Guys I am not going to be able to make it on 5-30...I have a wedding shower to go to that day. I would normaly skip that but it's for my youngest brother....the last of 7 kids to get married in my family. I could do 5-31 or another day if we get another one going.

For the 7/11 or 7/12 tuna trip we have Akscuba, Joesfishingproblem and doc popper.... We need three guys for this, so if interested, let me know!



Both trips are gonna be a blast guys! And I cant wait to put some names to the faces and meet a great bunch of guys!

Anyhow, the boat goes in the water Monday at 11:30am....


The tide decided not to cooperate with me for tomorrow :suspect: Its always something! A month and half of grueling working and she is ready for the upcoming and hopefully very prosperous season!

FC, Your in for a real treat meeting me and the boys (mates) ...... :affraid: :) Get a hold of the Big J so we can round this trip off FC....


Anyhow, for the daily report...... We finished everything up... boat is waxed, bottom is painted, Zincs are on, bright work is done, impellers for both motors are, motor zincs are in, the new throttle and shifter cables are in.....

Got the motors fired up (man does the smell and sound of a two stroke Detroit happily purring away really get the blood pumping!) They fired up on the first turn! We were scheduled for our final blessings for the year and the dip tommow.... I was happier than a pig in shit after two 12 hour work days this weekend! I had one last critical check to perform.......................




I went to do the normal steering system routine check for the year, I found the system was a lil' low on fluid and de-pressurized, no big deal, I added some fluid and pressurized her up.............. And nothing! Bled the system and did it again and nothing..... :suspect: Now at this point, I crawled my ass outboard of the motors to check the lines, what do I find, steering fluid gushing out of split line... :evil: ... This is gonna be a serious project, but we should have it fixed in the next few days,,,, man was I hot...


So we ended the day with a nice cold corona, our spirits and will broken for the day, but we will adapt and overcome! The fish and boat gods were just not in our favor for this weekend...... We will make a sacrifice of a big ol' filet and shrimp and scallops grilled to perfection for next weekends blessing party and will hopefully appease the higher beings!



Soon, hopefully by next weekend or later this week I will get her in for shake down run!

Yep, it oughta be a blast! C'mon fellas, man up, we still need 1 for the Bass/Drum trip and three for the tun'er trip... Its gonna be fun! There is a eddy south of the Atlantis canyon area right now and should be within our region within a month or so, its should bring some bluefin and yeller's..... Lookin to be a promising offshore season!
