thursday 9/24 late report

ran out of rusty joe's about 11:00 thursday. flipped a coin for north or south. north won. anchored up on the incoming and had a steady hot bite of stripers. landed 8 up to 27.5". a couple pushed the 10 lb range. had to drop to 2 lines, couldn't keep up with 4. had one that i couldn't stop and finally spit the hook.
bait was fresh bunker chunk (did have one nice run on a head) water was 71 deg. and clear. bite turned off when tide slowed. back at the dock by 2. no keepers but a great day with my son.

was out by the channel outside of fortescue on saturday. rough day and started with some blues when we first got there. then about 11. as the incoming started to run good, stripers just turned on. caught around 20 in about an hour and a half. 2 keepers 1 at 33 and another at 28.5. great way to start the fall season. but as the bite slowed up. the rough bay cause the anchor line to rub on the boats anchor system the wrong way til it snapped. so we have to just come up with a solution to stop that from happening
