aug 9-13 late report

was down the fort for the week. mon went out in afternoon. had about 10 throwback flounder and some trash fish. tuesday. ran to the old grounds. was a hike but a beautiful ride. had a few throwback flounder and 3 keeper seabass. decided to do it again wednesday. fog stopped us in the rips. picked 3 short flounder. then fog lifted and ran the rest of the way. had about 20 throwback flounder. 9 keeper seabass. about 15 throwbacks. searobins and ling. drifted three miles getting bites the whole time. at one point had a huge swirl next to the boat. couldnt see it. wish i did. could just see the swirl in the water. then one more big swirl as it moved off. threw a bluefish that we had in the box from the other day in the bay but just watched it sink in the distance. thursday thunder, then wind after storm messed up the day then on friday went out in the gusty winds only to have 2 what felt like flounder bits and one small brown shark. anchored for a little with nothing to show and headed in. bait for the week was minnows, squid, and fresh cut from blues, ling and searobins. didnt find the monster fluke from the old grounds, but first time out there and had fun.

great report ....looks like all in all it wasnt to bad....always a good time out on the water....

nice report eric, that easterly wind ruined fishing last week, glad you got a few good days in there. will be out this weekend, hopefully will have better conditions :..............
