New Type Of Guides
Not sure how these would work on a rod.
Definitely a fresh water rod guide.
I must say I don't like them or wouldn't use them, just another fad.
But who knows till you try them.

Re: New Type Of Guides
Captain I've used them on 3 of my rods and I also love them. I'm not sure if I'd ever go back to any other guide.
I just think these guides are weird and it doesn't seem the line, even braid, could be chocked down to that small of a cone to go threw the first ring when it's that small.
Maybe on a fresh water rod using 10lb test and under.

I am sure that there is a time and place for those guides but they do look like a gimmick

Re: New Type Of Guides
ive seen them charlie, but i think proper setup and guide spacing will do just as much. throwing 40lb braid through them just seems odd. never used them so i dont have a clue.

Re: New Type Of Guides
captain, looks like if i just bend the guide feet before installing them i could achieve the same thing. the feet bend pretty easy before they are wrapped to the rod. they have to be tweeked so they sit flat anyway.
