I don't know about the park on Fri night but at the least I'll be on 1st. ave in Ortley.

today thursday-- I did the drive on at IBSP,, I tried the ADHD approach w/ 2 rods clamming and one rod plugging,8oz to barely hold, I got the same on all 3,, yes , I know you purist may say,, "you have to hold the rod to know if you be gettin a strike",, well I tried that --- and extreme boredom of not getting a strike influenced my 2 rod approach followed by 2 rods and plugging effort.
The wind was extreme outa the south,( I did speak w/ South Wind Jim) the tease was gannets and cormorants were w/n 150-200 yds at times,, cormorants sitting and diving the gannets doing their aerial dive bombing antics. Didn't see anthing bust outa the water.The water was clean,, though it was high tide the water was low and the waves were small.
I didn't see any fish landed,, including me. A skate would've been welcomed.

Thanks for the report Rick. I had gotten reports of bait and blues south of Manasquan inlet but I guess not as far south as IBSP.

Thanks for the good report Rick. But now you can let them start biting cause I plan on fishing the Park this weekend. I hope somthing starts up.

Call me the optimist,, but I believe this wkend could be special at IBSP. I may also do the 20 minute drive I'll be the guy w/ the red pathfinder w/ the big dog. I think the fishermen crowd will not be large as the forecast calls for rain,, I think it will be overcast w/ a shower here and there,,sounds good to me.

Fished Brigantine this morning from 6-7am and nothing on plugs. Fished clam from 12pm to 1:30 with nothing. Went back out at 6:30..low tide and nailed a 16lb bass on clam. Low tide seems to produce down here. Will try again at 6am for the next low tide.

fished ibsp 9am-4pm nothing very windy barely holding with 6oz. tried plugging the wash with no luck. soaked some clams and bunker all day... usually these are the days stripers love. just not this day. be there next week. just hopefully without too much of a crowd for the holiday weekend

Fished a popular Cape May beach yesterday in the rain. Soaked clam from 6-9:30 outgoing tide NADA. Gonna give it a try again this Fri-Sat.

Well, what a difference a week makes.My good bud Jeff and I hit IBSP around 5pm yesterday afternoon and started chunking and pencil popping the Gillekens area.No dice so we made the move south around A17 and all hell broke loose with the 1st cast around 6:45
We ended up with 6 between 30-40# all on pencils.

Will today be another epic day at IBSP like last year?

Had an good weekend in M.

Friday night- 7pm-11;30pm we hit the north side. Still light out. Cast a mack 7in bomber into the white water and was into a fish on the first cast. I caught that nigth on smittys so called "blemished" danny, 4 fish on my skinny darters, one on my fatter darters, 2 on a buddys danny, 2 on a twisted giant moby, a few on brian smith (go4broke44's) metal lips and I think the rest on mag darters my needles and bombers. Had an east wind, only a few other catsers that night. Managed about 25 fish. was blowing 10knts, hight tide into outgoing. None of much size, biggest was around 17 lbs on a mag darter. had a 15 and 16 on my darters. I got pics on the digi.

12:15 am - 3:am
Uncle vinny wanted to walk into the south side. should have probably stayed home as I had a bad bug the whole weekend, with bad fevers and vomiting. wind shifted to SW, 15kts. Walked deep into the south side, no other casters to be found. Got 2 nice rocks, 1st cast with a yozuri darter I landed an 8 lb rat. I saw ZERO bait. I can say that we had turns working everywhere at night so the sandeel bite has begun. A few casts later I got a bass aroudn 12 lbs on my darter, that was it for the night.

1:pm-4"pm
Woke up after throwing up, got my **** together and we headed for the north side to get some fish. saw MontaukPete, and a few of my uncle paulies buddys. Nothin doin. 4:15 pm. Zeno Hromin pulls up to our room because he was waiting for a few buddys to go out. we got to talking for a little, pulled some knowledge out of him. we met up with him later to fish on the ns again, He was to the left of us. The bite was slow 8:30-1130pm the bite was slow, had 4 fish by the end of the night, 2 on my darter and 2 on the yozuri mag. I see z's light was on to the left of us as he pulled a fish up, and He was taking a shitload of pics. i thought he got a 20lb bass or somthing no big deal. We got outta there later.
730am, still sick, go into paulies. I give paulie the scoop he goes "zeno said he saw you" I tell him yea, he was next to su to bad the bite was so damn slow "he goes, what a freakin fish" Im like what fish? Z landed a fish over 44lbs, right next to us. Hit the ns last night, not even worth a report. i small fish on my needle. Were gonna slayem next week. Catchem up!

atlantic city 6pm to 11:30 caught the last of incoming and 3plus hours of outgoing. fished clam and tossed a few eel around. 4 skate and i think a couple of runoffs, but there was a heavy rip with the new moon so i can't be sure. no bass, no hookups no nothing. very disappointed. first time on beach this year. felt good.

Fished Brigantine in an A.S.A.C. tourney yesterday.Big pull north to south with dirty water and tons of snot grass.Not a fun day!
Though some very large bass were caught.........none by me :(

Hit Monmouth beach this Am with joe,rick,jon and a couple of new friends!!!!!!!!!No hits No runs No errors nothin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

saw 1 real small pod of bunker like 5 splashes that was it!!!!!!!!!!!!Tons of boats off,had a buddy call from a boat no bass loads of bunker off but no bass under them.I should've known I got all of the you should've been here yesterday stories!!!!!

hey buddy at least you got out and it was nice to see you for awhile this morning. you havent missed all that much. i think i am going to write the names of towns i like to fish on coins and each morning you pick one out of a hat, flip it, and go to where it lands. seems like there have a been a few times when they stuck to a pattern for more than two tides. we hit every town down the coast and finally saw some pods that looked nice about 3 miles from home! that's how it goes. i'll be back out tonight.

Okay I whined enough.

Tide is coming in,,, and soon it will be dinner time.
Boats will be thinner and just maybe................

I caught a really big girl today,,don't know the wt. hopefully my bud,,Jim can post the pic,,I got her right after the storm rolled out,,bunker,,all over,, snagged and dropped,,there were a few misses,,before the momma.I released her... for all the right reasons.
I'm still shaking,, when your day comes,, you'll know what I mean.
