Does this NOAA forecast sound accurate to anyone who has been to the beach in MoCo today?

TONIGHT...E WINDS 10 TO 15 KT. SEAS 6 TO 8 FT.
FRI...SE WINDS AROUND 10 KT. SEAS 5 TO 7 FT.

...And the weather channel is calling for ENE winds at 3 mph in the morning. How could the two forecast be so different?
