L.B.I. info

I will be going to LBI this weekend with the family. Just wondering what's going on down there. I was down there a few weeks ago but that was when there was a hurricane offshore and the beach was not fishable. So I fished the inlet and caught some sea bass. I will be heading to Oceanside for bait and info but figured I would ask here first. I will be staying on the south side of the island almost by the southern inlet. I would assume crokers and kings, I allready have my fishbites and kingfish rigs but anything else going on?

I caught a few fluke on mullet in the surf saturday morning so they are still around if you want to have fun with them doin C&R. All the big dogfish have pushed into deep water. If you are into toggin, head to barnegat inlet and pick asian shore crabs from under the rocks in the tide pools and fish em whole.


Theres still small blues around as well and im sure the stripers will start to show up shortly, they are around but not thick just yet.

Fishpro i have a good feeling all hell is going to break loose this in to next week but thats just me lol.
I see a lot of mullet moving down the beach and bunker staying out side the sand bars so its just a matter of time before all the blues and bass move in real close "by your feet close hint hint"

I'm with Smitty LBI is just waiting to bust open! Unfortunately I can't fish due to three herniated discs in my neck or I'd be down there tonight.

I am heading down friday night. By the time I get there you will probably be closed. So I will fish plugs friday night and stop in on saturday. What time is the high ocean tide for saturday?

Live Report** out here on lbi now greeted by a strong east wind. Go in my box to get my sinkers and only have one 10oz sinker. Next is 6oz sinker wich I know won't work. The wind is a solid 15knots out of the east-north east.

First "fish" of the night a 12-14 inch doggie.
