Shad hotline info!!!

Shad fishing along the Delaware river in SE PA hasn't been what it once was.The number of shad counted has fallen from near 1/2 million to last year 180,000.This is the bad news the good news it's that time again!!!A report of a catch of 2 buck shad has already been made!!!! hey shad are awesome there like baby tarpon they fight like hell. i go to the susquhana river in maryland and crush them i will be going in about two weeks so if anyone wants to spilt gas your welcome top go with me. its about a two hour and 23 min drive. well worth the trip

Jim I'll go but I need some tips on how to catch them. I have caught them before in my trout net. Just scooped them up as they were swimming by. All released unharmed but was a lot of fun.

There's shad in the river.Probablly Bucks now.There's been reports today of fish being caught as far up as Easton.The river level is up a little perfect conditions today with the nice weather.Lookin to maybe hit it this afternoon!!!!!If I get out I'll let you know!!!

What do you do with them after you catch them. I heard they taste worse than cat food? Do you only target females for the row?

Jeff usually don't hit em to much after dark from the bank.I would recommend driving along the river till you see cars/trucks go there.If there's guy's there there's fish there!!!I would goto Morrisville!!!
