Fish some, mostly crabbing.
HI All,
Actually clicked a link on Craigslist, under sporting goods, and found this site. Poked around, seems like a nice place.
Smitty, You got a B&T?
I am active on a crabbing board, and not active but a memeber on ***,BB,and do occasionally post on Stripersurf.
As my name implies, I am into growing tomatoes.
See you out there.
Rob.

Re: Fish some, mostly crabbing.
Welcome
It sure looks like you know what you are doing. Let me ask you a question. Do you plant them and just let them grow or do you continually prune them so you have only one main vine? I have been told you shouldpinch off all the suckers but my brother just lets them go and always seems to do better but I also think he gets more sun. I live up in the woods in Northwest NJ. Any tips you care to share would be appreciated

Full Sun all day.
I get the plants started, then when I plant them, take all but the top leaves off, and plant them DEEP. At least 8 inches.
No chemical fertilizer. I make compost all year.
Sandy soil. South Jersey is sandy.
When you water-water deep. No sprinkling with the hose for 2 minutes.
I have pruned, and have let plants run. either way works as long as you keep the fruit off the ground. It also depends on how
much space you want to use. If you are going for size, 8 ft high stake, and prune it.
Hope this helps,
Rob
