wood for needles
Since th forums being down ive struggled so much in not been able to ask plug building questions , what im after is what wood would be best for a 6" 1oz needle,
Im wanting them sink very very slowly .

A lot of guys use birch for needles. It's a little harder and heavier then most of the woods we use for plugmaking. I'm sure you could use other woods also, just add weight were needed to get it to do what you want. Maybe a little in the arse and a little just forward of center ??
