Jetty Again

My buddy Rich and I hit the jetty again and it finally paid off. Got the right tide, great conditions, and not much competition. Rich got the first Tog on the rocks, a healthy 14"er, released to grow some more. I landed the next 9 Tog, the largest measuring 18" and fat, all released. We had steady bites throughout the trip, missing a ton of them. You had to be right in the rocks, the deeper the better, to get a fish. Clam was the bait of choice, outfishing the crab baits. Had either Tog or Sea Bass popping along the rocks throughout the day too, not sure what that was about.
Once the Tog bite slowed we tried under a bridge and then off a sod bank with Clam and lures. Never got a touch. Called it a day, and a god one at that.

Frank it sounded like a great day. And I understand how tricky some of them tog can be to hook. But it sounds like you have that down pat.
