The Boat

OK got the boat and finally found time to see what i had bought....
well lets put it this way she would turn over but not start so I'm OK with that as long as the motor is not seized rite...

I start to poke around a figure the carbs must be a little dirty the motor has duel carbs so i take them off and holy **** look....



well after a lot of cleaning i get them back on the motor and this is what happened as soon as i turned the key

now no matter what i got a good motor and a good trailer along with lots of other stuff for the grand total of $400.

nice boat figure let ya know for the bottom theres a thing ya can look into called soda blasting will take it down to the original bottom and like new than just keep fresh bottom paint on it and ull be good.

OK done scraping the stupid barnacles and now have moved on to removing the lower unit to replace the water pump....






HOW???????
I pulled the lower unit off my outboard to change the water pump and this little guy is in the housing how lol.......





Good thing i am going to replace the water pump cause its in bad shape along with the housing and gaskets....

Well got the new water pump today and put it in and wow just in time take a look at how bad and ready to detonate the old one was....

Better to be safe then sorry ....cheap insurance...!!!!

Make sure you put a little grease in with the new impeller - otherwise you can crack the fins and get to do it all over again

yup took care of that but thanks for the heads up.....

Took off the pin striping and logo and gave her a new paint job on her bottom side.....

No i will be trailering it....

I still have some more work to do on the inside like to make sure all the lights are in order and the bilge pump not sure on that one yet....
Got to get some new seats also causes the ones that came with the boat are like 2 sofas in a closet with no room to move lol

If you are trailering why paint the bottom?

it was painted when i got it and looked like crap after i scraped the barnacles off of it....
