24seven night in the back bays

Had a great weekend, friday night was a hangout night, saturday daytime was work, saturday night we got blasted, sunday night we went out in search of some bass and fluke. Started in SIC, headed to stone harbor and threw some fin-s and shads and plugs by one of my old haunts. JR got a nice 24" schoolie on a pink fin-s, then the gnats and skeeters drove us insane. We tried another bridge, I was throwing a white fin-s and not expecting much when BOOOOOOOOOING! Ended up with a nice 17" schoolie that got a lil thank you kiss on the forehead and a toss into the water. I threw the cast net off the bridge and got some peanut bunker, ballyhoos and some spearing and a few snapper blues. All in all good weekend. I tested out my new speargun, nailed a bunker with it this morning in the surf and ran to my truck, switched up and tried throwing it out with no takers. Short fluke EVERYwhere just outside the outer bar though.
