LBI 5/7 report

Fished LBI all night HARD with Rlyman and my buddy Jim from the barn. We were wading in the back pluggin and watched a bass explode right where my Smitty peanut was about 3 seconds before. Heard em splashin n slurpin right out of our casting range. Rob had 2 good hits on his BKD before the fish moved out of our range, and I had a hit about 4 feet in front of me on the peanut. And the three of us managed to corral and pick this guy up by one of the sod banks, biggest frickin blueclaw Ive ever seen... -

Fished some clams too and Jim landed one skate. We fished the south end with no results in the surf, two hits but no WHAM just little taps. Val, thank you for the clams and opening up for a few minutes to ring me and Jim up! Ill spread those two stickers around best I can to friends.

That some good eats right there another dozen you would have a nice meal..lol

You shoulda seen it when Jim picked him up, he straight reached back UNDER himself with one claw and almost got jim good.

about 10-15 years ago we used to catch dozens of them about that size off the backside of seaside park. I wonder if its still as good down there?
