Here's my latest wrasse effort (do you have these fish over there? They are rough-ground/reef fish, don't grow very big; the biggest species, the Ballan Wrasse goes 7 or 8lbs. but most get barely over the pound mark..), small ones feature in our coastal bass diets, as they hunt, or ambush them in the tide races, or inshore reefs/rocky areas.
They're sort of like a mini-grouper; most people don't keep 'em if they catch one but in a few areas they are a local 'delicacy'. Portland, is one such locality, just up the coast from me .. say no more..

Whether bass do or not, I'm not sure but it is pretty lure, I think.
