major blue fish action

hooked up with charlie this morning......bass bite pretty much dead.....but around 10:30 all hell broke loose with major blues in the 15lb range hitting the beach pushing bunker at our feet at the south end of the island prolly a good 20min when things died off so charlie and i desided to head north i was heading home and charlie wanted to catch some z'ees.... as i travled north i saw a couple of guys hooking up ......and it started up again.....called charlie and it was game on again .......big blues pushing bunker at our ankles....all the blues where hitting poppers/pencils all in all turned out to be a good day.....check out betty & nicks for some vids of the fish thats were caught

I just wish we would have scored with the fly rods. I'm not sure how we would have handled them monsters with a buggy whip tho.
Bruce had a lesson on running and gunning with the boys today also

LOL charlie.........yea running and gunning...........was much better than pokin and hopein...........yea we had a good day.........pleasure fishing with ya .............yea there was no way i was gona land one of those big boys with a fly rod...............allthough i did see big bob pop hook on the fly
