vacation report

went down on sunday 8/14 and going home monday 8/22.

8/15 got the boat all back together cleaned up and gased up for the rest of vacation.

8/16 gave it a try for some flounder out in the inlet and ocean and got 3 throwbacks came back in the bay to try for some tog and no luck

8/17 had Ed (oldsalts) and Andrea (Surfchick) out on the boat tried out in the ocean/inlet Ed got a snapper blue. Also we had some throw black sea bass and other fish. than went to the back bay to anchor up for some chumming ended up with 2 blowfish for the day.

8/18 just did some chumming and got 3 more blowfish and other throwbacks.

8/19 went out to try chumming again and was a fun day but was like fishing the nursery all really small fish. small blowfish, kingfish, blues.

8/20 I went and visited Andrea (surfchick) for the day but my parents and brother went out they ended up getting 3 keeper tog and my mom got a sheepshead over 5lbs which is a first for any of us

8/21 went out to try for tog again wasnt the nicest out windy and white caps which didnt help with the anchor holding. ended up with one keeper tog and I got a 16in 3lb triggerfish which is also another first.

why there called a triggerfish they have a groove in there head where that fin lays in and triggers up for defence its bone hard and pointy and I also cut it off and gonna try to dry it out to keep lol

We where glad to be part of it on wed .....Andrea and myself had a ball and are looking forward to hitting the water again with you and your family....!!!!

great report Trav......how was the fight on the trigger???

for only a 3lb fish there a fighter took line three times trying to go back tot he bottom was a fun fight on the new reel andrea got me for a early birthday present.

And no problem ed anytime fun having you guys on the boat.
