tried today

Beachboy and I went down the street to a neighborhood pond to see if the pickeral, largemouths, or crappie were awake yet. Fished from 4:30-6:00 neither of us had a tap. Stopped at the end of our street and fished the Rockaway for a few minutes. AJ was throwing a wacky worm with no success, the river was still ripping pretty good from the rain last weekend. I threw a black and gold spinnerbait and nailed a nice 2 lb smallie on my 1st cast. That was it though. 1st fish of the year for us I just wish Beachboy didn't come home smelling of skunk!
