What would you like to see on S.B.O

What option or feature would you like to see added to this site?????

I'm looking to take this site to the next level but would like you guys and ladies to throw some ideas out on what you wish this site had..

By asking this I'm not looking for answers like free beer or naked ladies I'm looking for real feed back and ideas..

some minor things like being able to change the colors or theme of the forum. maybe a surf cam or link like the tide thing or something like that. maybe a live cam area where maybe builders or whoever can have a cam in their shops or whatever and people can peek in and see what's going on.

what about some kind of community calendar that shows events like shows and flea markets. people can maybe put up days they are going to fish or have a plug/rod building party or something. and have others post they would like to attend.

I like the feature of moving your cursor over the subject and seeing the complete sentence before I open the thread.
I like the ability to edit my comments anytime I desire.
I would like an easier way to post pictures in my comment area.Doing the avatar is easy. Each time I try I become slightly frustrated.
I like holymackerals' ideas.

A couple ideas for a few more forums....

A Photo's Forum with sub forums for fishing photos and random photos (nothing over PG13)
How about a "Let's Meet" or "Need a Crew" forum for when I have room on the boat or would like some company at 3:00am on a beach in Bay Head.

Also Lets give the Giveaways its own forum so the random giveaways as well as the Sat night Chat giveaways can be showcased. Mods can just lock them as they end.

A "search" would be nice. We all have questions of different topics, from plugs, rods, boats to surf fishing. Type in "penn 704" and any thread with that will come up for you. A great search tool for all.

You missed last years weekend get together at Gilgo. Hopefully if the beach is still there, you can make it this year. From the looks of a few pics I have seen, there ain't much left

Chris is right,Every year we are going to do an SBO LI Fling in october.I'll start a post at the end of sept.

Also, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem...but.

After I'm done reading the forums, I click the "mark forums read" link on the bottom. When I refresh the page later on there are no forums marked unread (Highlighted in different color to denote a new post has been made). I have to logout and then log back in to see the new highlighted posts. Don't know if its a site thing or a cookies thing.
