Penn Conquer

Just got the new BPS catalog and they have this reel listed, looks good. Any one have any info on it yet ????

maint wise its a easy acssess to lube up and clean, I like the concept of it..... I am a shimano guy..... I use to fish nothing but penn as a teenager, but I made a switch to shimano in my 20's and there is no comparison in my book...... shimano is much smoother and the drags are smoother as well..... I recently bought a penn sargus and returned it cuz, I just did not like how it felt......

guess its like the old saying once go shimano you never go back

Nice reel, a little on the pricey side for Penn, but incorporate a slide bar mechanism for the crosswind block and gear to ride on instead of sitting directly in the body like most Penn reels. Got a little feedback from guys that bought them and they seem to love them. Hope this helps.

Frank the reel is worth every penny.....I got mine for 168 shipped.....it holds 300 yrds of 40# braid without any mono backing. I put a spool of Suffix 40 on it an 2.5 feet of 50 # vanish and it casts like a dream.....
