I agree, I had a 150, sold it and got a 200. Then bought a 250. Anyway, the 200 is the all purpose reel, it fits on 8', 9' & 10' rods nicely. If you want to go witha 150, then I would suggest a ZX22. I have this reel too, it's a tad bigger than the 150 and smaller than the 200. Goes well on of the rods I listed. What ever you do, go with the bailess, once you get the knack for it (takes a few casts) you'll never look at another bailed reel again!

Hey Mikey
I am looking in to the new Penn Torque 55 holds 300 yards of powerpro 50.
Only 20 O/Z looks sweet
Bailess kit is available
Just my 2 cents

Re: Van stal or zee bass
yea im kinda leaning towards the vsb 150. On a 9'6. I feel the 100 is to small and the 200 is too big.

What about the Zee Baas. I picked up a ZX25 in the spring after a successful weekend in Vegas.
I have only used a VS250 once and prefer the my reel.

VS150 & VS200 is all you need Bro, my 150 goes on all my 9ftrs. and the 200's go on my 10 & 11ftr. You won't be disappointed w/a VS, tried and true.

That is where the ZX 22 comes in. I wrapped a SSU 1201L and cut 6 inches off the butt. After it is all said and done it's the perfect jersey fall rod and 22 just put icing on the cake. There are some thing's you have to consider when buying a van staal. Yes there cheaper then a Z but, they are much stiffer to reel , there drag is inferior to the Z, there customer service blows. Zeebaas just released the "third gen" check them out they resolved the sand entering through the drag cap. I own a few Z reels some Gen 1's and Gen 2's. They had there issues but all have been resolved by Zeebaas. There customer service is the best. Good luck with your choice
