Re: GULP???????
My brother in law showed that stuff to me. He is landlocked (western Jersey) and he asked if it's used for saltwater fishing too; My guess would be no, because of the swift currents and wave action, the scent would disapate too quickly, but alot of guys use Smelly Jelly, so what do I know...

Re: GULP???????
When bucktailing fluke I did pretty damn well using the shrimp or pogy instead of spearing. Shimp seemed to work best in the blue'ish color. I'm gonna try using them more this year.

Re: GULP???????
It depends on the day but I have killed fluke with it. I use a bucktail with a shrimp or curlytails sometimes meat. With that on a 3way run another line (a lighter one like 12-20lb)to a 1/0 baitholder hook and put a shrimp on that. Sometimes its a killer setup. Other times I use 1/2oz to 1oz bucktails with gulp on light action rods with 10 to 15lb PP on them. The braid is key to this fishing as you need very thin line to get deep in heavy currents with light bucktails. Most of my fluking is done by boat though. Have caught fluke to 7lb on 15lb PP with 1/2oz bucktails in 50-60ft of water. I have seen fish 10lbs plus caught using this technique on 7ft freshwater gear.

Re: GULP???????
Last year my brother and I took my boat behing OC/Somers Point. Using white swimming minnow Gulp, we caught over 50 fluke. We only had 5 keepers, but the ones we had to throw back were only 1/4 to 1/2 inch short. I'm a believer in it.
