Just joined...

Lion sent me this website and recommended I join. I fish in Ocean County and I'm a member of the Berkeley Striper Club in Seaside Park, NJ. I like surf fishing but also own a boat. I mostly fish for Stripers/Blues and Fluke. I wanted to get into fishing for weakfish especially because I go out of the Barnegat inlet to get to the ocean. Never targeted them and rarely fish the bay but would like to give it a try.

My wife says I'm obsessed with fishing so “Striped bass Obsession” seems like an appropriate site for me. I really just started 3-4 years ago and learn something new about fishing all the time. I don't really get out much (IMO), but Sundays are my day and I usually take my boat out. I sometimes sneak out after the kids are asleep to hit the surf at night for a few hours. I created my own fishing website that I use to update my family and friends to try and get them out fishing with me. I post my weekly fishing report and pictures. The family seems to enjoy it and I have fun with it. The website does not cost me anything (it’s free) and I would be happy to share it if that’s appropriate to post the shortcut here.

What kind of boat do you own? Where do you keep her? I'm in Pt Pleasant maybe I'll run into you (not literally) around Seaside. What's the name of your rig?

I have a 2000CC Hydra-sports. The name of the boat is Stella del Mare. I spend the spring out of the Barnegat inlet and the rest of the summer and fall out of Pt. Pleasant. I am usually out every Sunday unless we have a family thing to do then. I'm usually on channel 65. I might be in your area this weekend. I haven't decided which inlet to go out of. The one nice thing about being docked in Toms River is that you have a choice of inlets.
