Party Boats
Anyone been out on a party boat (or any boat really I guess) this spring for Striper?
Thinking about heading out this coming weekend on the Raritan Bay out of either Keyport of the Highlands.
Anything doing?

I was thinking John too, but he isn't posting any Striper trips on his site.
I will have to call.
If he's not going for Striper then I'll try one of the Highlands boats.
Thanks for the replies fellas.

LOL
From the way you've been posting around here I believe it.
I may take you up on it too.
You're a beach/jetty guy though, aren't you?
The reason I'm looking into a boat is that my uncle is up from FL for the week and I'd like to get out with him for a day. He's getting on in years though and his shoulders aren't what they used to be. I want to try to limit the amount of casting he'd have to do so I fugured dunking eels would be a little easier than dead sticking the beach.

LOL
No, he's really hurting. He's got appointments to start Cortizone injections in both shoulders when he gets back home.
He'll still out fish us, but he's not just being picky (although he does bitch an awful lot when it's windy).

Re: Party Boats
Thanks Jose.
We're going to try the Angler out of the Highlands tonight. They're supposed to start their night runs this evening, but I can't get a human being on the phone to confirm what their website says.
I guess we'll show up with boat rods and surf rods and if the boat isn't going out we'll hit the upper bay.

Re: Party Boats
Agreed. Party Boat Angler out of the Highlands municipal dock. Boat and crew were all first rate. Recomended to anyone.
Couple of guys caught fish, 10 total, 3 keepers (all looked to be minimum or slightly longer). Jamie got one of the shorts, fisrt fish boated. Little guy but better than the skunking I took. (Course that's pretty much par for the course for me).
Great weather, great night. We'll do it again in a few weeks when the bitches move in.
Maybe we could put an SBO trip together?
