Don't forget to vote today in the Brookhaven Town Special Election

Don't forget to vote today in te special election for the Brookhaven Town Supervisor. I went to my polling place in Manorville at 9:30 this morning and I was the only one in the place. It's looking like there isn't going to be much of a turnout from what I saw today.
This is your chance to vote for a candidate that will try to keep the fishing areas open in Brookhaven Town. We are losing too many places to fish and if we don't do something to stop it we will continue to lose.

I'm thinking that the better of the two got in but now lets see if he follows though with anything he said. Hopefully there will be somemore access to the beaches for fisherman.
I noticed last year that in Southampton town on the North side of the canal it was all posted no parking so you couldn't get to the beach. The houses that were put up there just took over that section of beach. I grew up in Hampton Bays just down the road from there and that was always a good spot to fish at night but no more.
