My fall sucks so far
$41,000. for a new knee to fish in the surf and can't find the bass to test it on.
I might take up knitting

Slow so far. Haven't had a bona fide keeper yet, but a bunch of nice healthy shorts. There is such an abundance of bait around that I feel it's keeping the bass scattered. This full moon should change things.

Rider - hope you made it out and found a few willing fish.
I fished IBSP for the 1st time ever. Thursday night / Friday AM through Saturday AM.
Hooked a few and managed to only land one shorty.
Luck was not with us. see report

Re: how has your fall been so far
hit the park yesterday with the crew..........The beach was not as PACKED as what we had expected......Fished for a few hours, Saw a few bass caught by others,
BluesFish landed a quality bass at 35 inches/14lbs. It was caught on a SP Minnow, his first cast with that plug, and with one more crank of the reel the plug would have been out of the water. It just goes to show the the bass can be caught right at your feet.
Steve Adams missed on big hit, and I missed two. One was a quality hit, and i have no idea how i missed, and the other was just a bump and when i got my rig out of the water there were scales all over my teaser....
A coupe other people we talked too also caught a few bass right in the wash on Sp's also, I talked to Jeff a little later last night, and he said the bass was full of sand eels, so who knows how or why the bite is the way it is.
The water condition was insane, and looked super fishy... but i guess we missed the "hard bite" We just had to work a little harder than the people earlier in the week.

Re: how has your fall been so far
Was out Friday into Friday night and went 1 for 4. The last one I had on was a nice fish and battled with him a few minutes before coming unbuttoned. All of my hits were on the end of my cast in the breaking whitewater on the outer bar.

hit the park with the rest of the crew for our annual thanksgiving morning fishing trip.......There was a good number of us there, id say about a dozen. the wind was honking outta west/northwest at a stiff 15-20 and it was fucking frigid......
There were no bass caught, but we all laughed our asses off and had a great time...So that is all that matters....It was a great time with great friends both old and new............

Re: how has your fall been so far
My fall started slow was in Montauk for a few days and got one fish. The mullet run didn't last to long but managed a few fish out of it. All fish caught in lbi during the run. Things slowed down for a little then got into a few good night bites at ibsp. Bite then turned to a daytime bite for a little. Still schoolies in numbers but to cold for me anymore lol. All in all my fall ended up being pretty decent. Biggest fish out of the fall for me was just shy of 30 lbs.
