Testing Prototypes
When you're testing prototypes to find out best locations for and amount of weight(s), hook size & placement, etc., do you seal and fully dress them out or do you just go with basic wood?

Re: Testing Prototypes
Pat when I do the tests on proto types I seal the wood and prime it also. The primer lets you see how it works in the water better while test swimming the plug.
As for weight a builder showed me how he mounts weight to his plugs with small screws while testing so if you have to move the weight your proto type doesn't end up like swiss cheese.
So as for me, I seal and prime my proto types while testing.
