Where there is bunker there are . . . .

Was out yesterday with a Charter Captain out of Atlantic Highlands - Sandy Hook bay around teh hook and all the way to Deal - and everywhere we went there were large pods of bunker on the surface


Much of the bunker was in pretty tight to the beach - especially on the seaward side of Sandy Hook - seems like as the sun got up teh bunker moved away from land (that might have had to do with a shift in wind)



Anyway - if you can, get out there on a groin or jetty as there are lots of bass under the bunker

We were out there also Ahab, we fished off Asbury. You weren't in the boat that threw us the Skoal by any chance were you? We never went in close we fished about 1-2 miles off and we found some bass. My whole report is in the Surf Fishing section (probably belongs here).
