Well after 2 years of being in this shithole apartment finally can leave this hell hole and move into my first house .. Needs some work so looks like im picking up a new hobby along with it.. So now the honey to do list will start.. Start moving in this weekend coming up.. Will still sneak out monday for some fishing tho

We bought smitty.. Its weird how the realtor did it she worked some crazy magic to make closing happen alot faster then normal also.. I wanted to go closer to the shore but owell.. This place is only 15 mins from where im living now.. The ugly weeds and stuff in the yard are gettin taken care by the lawn service people. Need to re tape and spackle the car port tho =/ Then going to lay new carpet threw out.

i have a carpet kicker if you need to use it....

Congrats Jeff .. my first house had paneling over horse Hair plaster a real pain so i Painted the paneling it actually looks pretty good painted so dont think you hve to rip it out if you dont like it ... I personally like it but my wife not so much

Very cool. Congrats to you and Steph! We bought a fixer uper too. I'm just about done with the down stairs bathroom. We got ours 4 yrs ago and the honey do list is still a mile long. LOL! I'M right down the road if yea need any help!

Not really much left to do.. I would like to extend the fence on the one side of the yard but probably gonna hold off till fall... Lay some new carpet and re do under the carpart are the 3 main things.. Oh and put a hook up in for a hose since there isn't any lol..

if you need to use a carpet kicker let me know i will loan ya mine....

Congrats. The work is never ending. We upgraded last year from a 1950's ranch to a 1980's tudor going from 1900 sq ft to 3600 sq ft and even though the house is newer there are still a ton of projects that need to be done. However at this point my free time is worth more to me than what it costs to hire someone to do most of the stuff. Now if I can only hire someone to plant that thousand dollar bill tree in the backyard.

kevin, i put the 100 dollar tree in 2 years ago and it died. never did produce any fruit either. so now im just sticking to regular fruit trees. jeff a little bit of advice, go slowly, im on my 3rd house and with my first one i couldnt wait to sell it. you can burn out quickly. you find you have no time for the important stuff, like fishing!!!!!!!!!, listen to me ive been out twice this year again.

Well finally stopped being lazy this weeked... Got the hose put in and power washed the house =) Also no leaks so thats a plus

Well sunday i decided to start the privacy fence.. Well i learned a lesson.. Use gloves when using a post hole digger ^_^.. Had grandpop out helping me since he is out of the hospital and doing very well now.. Stubborn old man tho told him not to touch anything and he kept picking up stuff to work lol.. Now just waiting for the concrete to dry.

Coming along nicely. A house is a never ending full time project.

I swore I would never install my own fence.....then I go the quote to have it installed ......yeah I ended up doing it myself.
