Lyme disease sucks! I have a few friends from work that have it. They gotta have the IV everyday and they can barely move without pain. I had a tick once, pulled it and went to the doc. They gave something (can't remember name) that I had to take for 30 days. You could not drink and you could not be in the sun. Your skin would turn to leather after one day out. Really sucked!! Thank god it got rid of it and I did not have the full disease and it was caught early enough. People PLEASE be alert, Lyme disease is no joke!

Ticks Yea there here have been for quite some time.My brother suffered from Lyme.Being in the landscape buisness we see em every day. There's days after being in the weeds we actually strip down and check ourselves :affraid: I've tried deet and every other kind of repellant nothing really seems to work.I get tested every year just to make sure I don't have it.I know it's corney aqs hell but you gotta wear long white socks. It's really the only way to spot those little suckers. :affraid:

I pulled a deer tick off my 3 yr old's face in church last weekend. Luckily it was just crawling on her and not embedded. Nasty things! Make sure you use cedar mulch around your house if you can afford it. From what I've heard ticks don't lay their eggs in the cedar so they are less likey to be found there than in pine mulch.
