BLOCK ISLAND week end report

So for my birthday my dad happend to surprise me by taking me to block island for the weeekend
dident do as good as we thought i got one about 15lbs threw him back and my uncle got one about 15 also over all still had fun and might be going agin this week
i took some picks but
the computer wont let me put them up

Bluesfish

A few is better than nothing!! The north rip was on fire for about 3 hours on Friday evening, bass up to 30 pounds and some nice blues as well. It was an epic blitz with bait running on top of the water.

Great place to fish.

We thought that bonito were chasing the bait or some football tunas but we didn't see any. It was a sight to see. Some flyrodders were out there and it was fun watching them catch some nice bass.

nice!!!! yea i fish the cape early june.....i was flyswattin.....saw a lot of big bass on the flats but no takers.......fished the ponds at night the bass at night were slamming something on the surface but they wouldnt take a sandeel......i did manage to land a fish and drop two........and when i was stripping line i noticed in my basket some shrimp...ultrashrimp......which of course i didnt have

Always seemed to be a problem with me. Never had what they were eating. Sometimes you can get away with it but most of the time its all they want. Tough to have everything. But nothing beats catching on a fly rod.
