Yo guyss i need some help well me and my dad made a bet that if i catch a 25 or up striper i can get a Van Staal 200 since i sold my 150 and i caught that 30 lb Im gettin one BUT CANT MAKE UP MY MIND!! Silver Gold or black!??!?!!

Please help

I'd go with a silver.
I doesn't show the scratches & wear as both the others do, because of the black anodizing over a shinny aluminum metal body.
And if your going to have it your whole life as a remembrance of your father and you fishing it, it will eventually have a scratch or two. Especially now that your a newbie jetty jockey.
I have a black 150 and a silver 200 and wouldn't get another black one. I saw a thread on another site were a guy had a problem with the black anodizing on his VS, it started turning bronze. First time I heard of it tho on a VS.

both of mine are silver i think black would show the scratches and i never was into the gold

I went with black also I want the battle scars to show.

When it was time for me to get one, some very experienced guys told me that black is less "eye catching" for the guys looking to steal them. I do like the look of the silver - but I have a black 150 and 250. Yes they will scratch - but so do I.

I preferr the black Van Staal's because I always thought they'd be less likely to be stolen from your truck then the silver or gold VS's cause they're appearance is more appealing to some dumb thief who doesn't know the difference. Im probly just paranoid,lol
