I have watched the video on You Tube and it looks very easy. Just wondering if anyone has bought this $89.00 kit and serviced their Van Staal themselves? Thanks for any feedback.

I saw Craig do a demo on the reels out at Montauk (VS Surf Day) and again at the Long Island show. It is extremely easy to do, and for $89 for three services (no drag service) it's a bargain compared to sending in for service. Also spoke to Craig about the drag, they are going to be introducing the self drag kit soon as well.

Fishtale - Thanks for the reply... I think I'm going to give it a shot. This is my first Van Staal and I would hate to screw it up. I've read that the hardest part of the process was getting it back together correct. If you don't get it perfect, you can lock the reel up. I will post my results. Thanks
