My New Ride

I was very interested in Kayak Fishing for a while so I decided to take the plunge. I did a ton of research and decided on the Hobie Outback with Mirage Foot Drive. I am extremely happy with it, very stable Kayak. I can see my Fluke numbers going up!!!

Murph--I know that you're not planning on doing a lot or any paddling anymore but check out that Hobie paddle-they aren't very good if you can pick up anything down the line reasonably cheap grab it. You never know when you will have to use it and at least you'll have something that is useable. Ohh yea you'll need some of these signs for your house when people go to look for you

Roc, My plans are to keep it as light as possible. First order for me is a light comfortable PFD. I do plan on a fishfinder/depthfinder ( I like to find structure ), I already have a nice insulated bucket with a battery powered air system. It keeps my minnows nice while fluking. I'm also going to take Andy's advice and upgrade the fippers on the Mirage Drive and the larger rudder. I'll keep you posted..

Good luck with your new toy John, they are a lot of fun to fish from. I need to get my arse in gear, having got mine out yet, to lazy I guess One piece of advise, keeps things to a minimum, less stuff to lose if you happen to flip

Did a little accessory shopping for the new Kayak. I picked up a really nice PFD, a Humminbird Fish Finder with a Ram Mount, Upgraded to the Turbo-Fins, a Ram Mount rod holder, a Ram Mount Fly rod holder and two dry boxes. I will post pictures when I install everything..

Damn John it's really going to be Pimped out, waiting on pix.

I'll be working on it within the next few days Charlie.. And as far as being anchored at the Honey Hole Forget It.. Some Camper contaminated the hole, it's polluted now.. LMAO
