First report spring 2011

Don't know if there is a reason that no-one is posting reports this spring so I will be the first and maybe find out ( for good or bad ). Fished a 15 mile stretch of beach from the Hook and to the south. Blues were all over the surf. Not on bunker from what I could see. I got a couple blues, no bass. The bait guys were doing ok on bass here and there on clams. Some decent keepers up to maybe 34 " or so. The boats were in tight and doing pretty good on fluke but it seemed like alot of throw backs. Back at it Wednesday. Also, incomming water was definately more productive for the bait guys than the dropping tide.

seen lots and lots of birds working off the beach on ibsp today so the bite should pick up this week in to the weekend
