My personal spicy shrimp recipe
This is something that was a complete accident and it was amazing. Not something you'd catch often but its seafood, great for summer BBQ.
What you'll need-
Bag of peeled large cooked shrimp, frozen or fresh
Half stick of butter
cayenne chili pepper flakes
de arbol chili pepper flakes
ancho chili pepper flakes
Habanero pepper flakes
1 cup joe cuervo tequila
3 diced fresh limes
dash of salt
dash of pepper
1/4 cup favorite hot sauce
Defrost the shrimp under cold running water, mix all ingredients except for butter in a bowl and let the shrimp sit and soak in the tequila and hot sauce. Squeeze ONE lime into the mix, save the others for now.. Get your grill goin at about 450, I use tinfoil as the tray. After marinating the shrimp for however long you see fit, throw em on the foil, spread evenly and sprinkle juices from the bottom of the bowl over all the shrimp. Cover with foil, lid down on the grill. Check at 10-14 minutes, if they're defrosted properly and they cook right, you have yourself some insanely spicy shrimp.
Before serving, dice the 2 spare limes and squeeze lime juice over the shrimp.
Best served with a nice cold pint of Dos Equis, or serve over rice. For those who feel adventurous, add em onto your favorite cheeseburger.
