Help me pick
Im going to get a new setup for this spring run. Ive narrowed it down to either an 8 ft st.criox mojo or 9 ft 3/4-3 mojo. Im open to suggestions on rods others have used and like. I mostly fish 4-7 inch swim shads and some bucktails 1-2 oz range but want to start trying some plugs what would you guys pick. The last piece ill add is I fish mostly from rocks at the mouth of an inlet.

Re: Help me pick
i would do the 9 ft also. I had the 8 and moved to the 9ft. Now i'm getting the 10 ft 6in 3/4-4 mojo. also if you get the 9 it will allow you to throw a variety of other plugs as well. my 9 footer is the 1-4 and its great for throwing tins, bucktails, bombers and redfins but not so much pencils. plus you will get more distance with the 9.

I love my lami's I have 2.. 1061 PP and the GSB 132-1 M.. 1 is 10'6" 1 piece the other 11'. 1 piece.. I fish off of rocks/jetties and the sand and get good distance with pencil poppers, swimmers Etc... Also check out the Tusnami Airwave I have 1 in 10.. Go to your local B&T and check them out. Shop around and get what feels comfortable for you..

Im leaning more and more towards the 9 footer I own a 9 foot triumph reason why I was gonna get an 8 footer. Where i fish long casts arent needed but I want to start heading to jersey and learn the beaches and jetties there. Im buying a vs 150 to match water ever rod i decide on. The rod im currently using is a 7.5 star stellar lite surf with a sustain 5000 great setup but ive hooked a few fish that I couldnt turn in current.

I just got home from picking my new mojo up. I got the 10ft 6in 3/4-4oz mojo and it matches up with my 704 perfectly. Can't go wrong with the mojo but like Bruce said the triumph is a great rod too. I had one and loved it. If you ever want to go to jersey let me know and maybe we can meet up somewhere. I fish the asbury area and just started to fish IBSP. Let me know bud
