UHMW / HyFax Plastic

Looking to purchase some plastic to use as runners on an ice fishing sled to protect the bottom. Looking for five pieces that are 5/8"- 3/4" thick by 1"- 1.5" wide by 5' long. I tried local and internet companies but the cost was $69 - $104 depending on where you go. The new sled only cost $75 but I'm tring to prolong the life of the bottom.

Anyone have some scrap or work somewhere with scrap or new product? I heard Corian can be bent to a radius but not too many guys will take a saw to their wife's kitchen counter for a few bucks.

Not sure where your located but try a local Stone and composet counter top place they throw away more then you think...Hope this helps

Fish Factor.... Starboard is the right side of the boat..... I don't have any there except the gunwale and I kind of need that or Whitey will fall overboard.

Thought about ski's but its for my new plastic JetSled. It's made to run without skis but parking lots or dirt roads may chew up the bottom.

have my NEPHEW carry it
