Looking to replace braided line on spool was new last year want to tie to existing on whats left of it can it be done ? What knots would be best?

thats the ticket uni2uni and a lil glue bu be care full u dont wanna cast through the knot it will hang up on ya have atlest 120 yards to the knot

Make sure you let the glue dry before reeling it in. I usually reel my line on to another reel when it starts to get "old". The line on the bottom is usually still good.

yup.............uni to uni.
I use this knot all the time connecting a braid casting leader to my main braid running line for bait set-ups.
Usually 65# to 20-30#.
Never had a problem with this knot going through the guides.

go on youtube and punch in fishing knots ... they have animated ones with rope ... popcorn popcorn

Joes fishin problem hit it on the head you don't want that knot banging through the guides all the time it will cost more to replace the guides than replace the line.
