OPENING DAY IN NY

well went out tonite all by myself cause the crew went to a different location.....
well got into fish .....34''...31''...27''....25''.....brought the 34'' home for the grill all others sent on there way.....
after a phone call guess who decided to come by me.... ...well they came I went got my keeper for the new season ... :king:
well one other thing turned my back to get a drink ...guy next to me yelling your @#$%$#@ rod......
turned around to find my rod ripped out of the spike and being dragged in the water.....
just able to catch the tail end of the but thank goodness its large the rest of the rod was in the surf....
picked up the rod went to set the hook .....nothin but air .....got the rod thank goodness....left wondering what could have been ...

Thats why when the rods in the holder Steve you should always be watching it.... And if not you'll never have that problem holding it, :) Nice fish though.

you are rite shawn almost learned the hardway by loosing my rod ....lost a nice fish im sure but saved the rod.....
