Trout season opens April 10th

Who are the opening day wahoos here?
I'm one I usually fish opening day and maybe once more. I live on the Rockaway River so that's usually where I start.

A private river? Is it stocked by the State? Is it a public river but you are just on private property? Please explain

The river is public but my clubs owns a nice stretch on the south branch and no the state doesnt stock it we stock and it's full of native brookies and browns.

Nice! I'm usually elbow to elbow with the other one day fishermen but I enjoy it because I'm usually catching my limit while they're trying to get their powerbait out of the overhead trees. lol!
