Devcon 5 min epoxy?

Is it possible to thin 5min epoxy

I'm trying something a lil diff. The finish is going to be loon hard head but the loon dos;nt take well to air brushing,so I want to put thin coats in between coats of paint.

it yellows bad I wouldn't use it

i read in a lure buiding book, if you mix it up and put a hair dryer to it to heat it up, the longer its heats the thiner it gets

jeff i have mixed it on foil wrapped over top of a mug of boiling water. It gets THIN and flashes super fast so drink some coffee before going for it. the key is to make sure the foil overlaps the mug by alot so you don't get condensation from the steam.

I would go with envirotex sealer in a spray can and scuff it (it's gloss) before my next coat.

I get mine at Acmoore but I think Micheals might have it also.

If I remember from a flyfishing site you can thin 5 min. w/isopropyl alcohol I use the bottles of 5 and 30 min you can put the bottles in a warm water bath and that will thin it a little tougher to mix properly when thinned though I do what I consider the drip method out of the bottles to try to keep the mix accurate But you still get the same results it will yellow quickly unless kept out of the light and gets soft in salt water.

I have thinned it with rubbing alcohol for years..Works like a charm.
