BAD NEWS--Lefty Carr passed away

"First I want to thank everyone for their heartfelt messages and prayers for Lefty when his wife passed away last week. The messages brought a smile to his face in a very difficult time.

I am saddened to say, unfortunately, Lefty passed away this morning losing his battle with his illness. I will personally miss him very much, he was a good friend that brought us all great fishing memories. He is a legend to the fishing community and will be missed by all. When the family makes the final arrangements, I will let everyone know."

God bless the Carr family in this very sad time. Our prayers and thoughts are with them.

Who else but Lefty could have 200 guys waiting in line at 4:30 in the morning to buy his plugs.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] He was the main attraction for our flea market which has gotten verry large, mainly due to him.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] He use to make the sweetest plugs that swam like hell. There were a lot of guys that never swam 1 of his plugs but I did and got a lot of fish oin them.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] You will be missed by many and rembered for a long time. See you on the other side and rest in peace.

I both collected and swam his lures and saw the reason they caught fish and fisherman alike , amazing action, great craftsmanship, his sparkle lures are beautiful .

It's really sad to see yet another great pass. I know there are still a lot of good guys turning plugs, but Gary, Habs and Lefty were at the top of their class. Who's going to be the next draw to make me stand in line at 3 a.m. in the freezing cold?

I too like asbury guy have swim this plugs. One of the best. He well be missed by main. So for all the guys who have his plugs lets fish the paint off of them. I now Im gunna RIP lefty

I have 1 that has gouges and no paint on it and it works.
