Harvey cedars...
if you have ever been to Harvey cedars then you know this beach is pretty much gone..
Look close thats about a 10 to 12 foot drop straight down

ship bottom 17th street looks better then ever this is where me stevel mikey and a few others went fishing during the S.B.O get together it took me 5 tries to get off the beach lol now i can ride a bike in it she is so flat and it still has a nice dune so it looks like ship bottom was spared just some garbage on the beach

to compare the damage take this pic of ship bottom and Harvey Ceders thay looked close to the same last year now not so much

looks bad!!! my brother inlaw has a house on cedar bonet. is that island still there? looks like it may be gone! will the state do anything or is it the local towns that do the work with the beach? good luck to all down there!

Good pics smitty,took a bunch of vids and passed them onto HoneyHD..... was on Island all day today. Like smitty said...it'll be a long time before things are abck to normal. The beach isn't even a beach, hit Surf City, Ship Bottom, Beach Haven and Holgate. The walkways to the beach are in half or gone, a straight drop down 10' and some cases alot more. 17mi. of dune fence will need to be replced, thousands of fence post are scattered everywhere,these are 8ft post and they were dug 5ft into sand. Houses in beach haven are part of the surf now, water is right under them. Jetties that were once covered by sand on beach are showing thier stuff now, completly uncovered as the day they were built. Holgate is off limits, but up top by the water is a disater, every thing is there..one big collection ground, and again....hundreds of fence post. Saw someones trec deck,furniture,street signs and even a two-way house spot light. I and others here have fished this Island all our live and for me ...it's all know. Lbi took her beating but she'll be back, she never lets us down. Peace
